Pupcakes

Have you ever made pupcakes for your pampered pooch? Here are some easy recipes to spoil man's best friend.

The easy dog treat recipes featured here are sure to delight the family pooch. They are recommended by canine organizations so they also get a tick for being healthy dog treats.

These cupcakes for dogs are all very quick to make and will be a real winner at any festivity that the pets are involved in. They will look just like "people food".

The best thing about all the recipes is that most ingredients are sure to be in everyone's larder.

Most of the recipes have a dog-friendly frosting, which uses a low-fat cream-cheese base, with a little honey or some fruit to add sweetness.

Unlike all the other recipes in my website, I can't personally vouch for the goodness of these, but my dog, Tessa, loves the pupcakes and that's good enough for me.

Why not whip up a batch of carrot, banana, fruit n oats, pumpkin or apple?

I also have a recipe for beet juice cakes. These would be great for Valentine's Day or Christmas as the beet juice colors the treats a beautiful shade of red.

If you don't want to make frosting, add a little sweetness by dusting confectioners sugar over the top. You can always dust over a heart or star stencil ... or even a bone-shaped stencil.

If your pampered pooches prefer savory morsels, I also have a recipe for chicken and carrot treats.

I still always line cupcake trays with cupcake papers as it cuts down on the cleaning up afterward. Just remember to remove the cupcake liner before giving to your dog.

If you are planning a party for your canine pals I would recommend that you visit Inspiring Birthdays for free downloadable invitations. They have fantastic free and stylish doggy party invites and ?meet the new puppy? invitations.

I have also found a gorgeous website that is dedicated to everyone who braves the weather and enjoys the great outdoors with their dog. I would suggest that you check out Out and about with your dog for some great ideas.

When I was growing up we had a labrador called Tilly (short for Matilda). Visit Labrador Retriever Guide for information, advice and products for your labrador. I wish I knew some of this years ago - it might have saved some of our lawn and the washing!!
