Cupcake Painting

My youngest daughter, Elizabeth, painted this cupcake painting during her school holidays. She had been given some canvas and paints for her 10th birthday and thought she'd have a go at painting cupcakes. I love her choice of colors.

Some fantastic results are achieved by using an acrylic medium for the "frosting" and piping it onto the painting through a pastry bag. Once the acrylic medium has dried you can then paint over the frosting with oil paint to give the cupcakes color.
