Seven Minute Frosting Recipe

This Seven Minute Frosting Recipe got its name from the time taken to prepare it in double boiler. However, nowadays you can reduce the time to a couple of minutes by beating in a boiled mixture of sugar and water into a bowl of egg whites.

Seven minute frosting is a versatile topping and filling for any type of cake or cupcakes you can think of; be it chocolate, vanilla, coconut, fruity or angel cake. A simple touch of this soft, fluffy and creamy seven minute frosting can transform your cake into a blissful pleasure.

This cupcake frosting usually lacks any characteristic flavor beyond its overdose of sweetness, which makes it taste like marshmallows at times. Its apparent tastelessness gives you the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of cupcakes and adorn them with any decorations.

Its stark white color makes it an ideal backdrop for colorful embellishments. So let your creativity flow and gift a makeover to your simple cupcakes with seven minute frostings and elegant decorations. However take a mental note to scatter the decorations while the frosting is still warm to stick them properly.

A sound knowledge of technique, a little patience and lots of dedication are the keys to perfect 7 minute frosting.

So take your time to master its techniques and surprise your loved ones with a cupcake coated with seven minute frosting.
