Easy Chocolate Frosting Recipe

When I was a kid my mom used to mae this chocolate sauce to pour over ice cream or use with desserts. If you allow the sauce to set in the fridge it is a really nice frosting that can be piped or spread on cupcakes.

I think this easy chocolate frosting recipe is much nicer than chocolate ganache. What I like is that all the ingredients

3/4 cup milk
4oz (120g) dark chocolate
1/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons all-purpose (plain) flour
1oz (30g) butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan.

When melted beat until smooth.

Combine sugar and flour and blend with a little cold milk.

Stir into chocolate mixture and cook (stirring) for 5 minutes until thick.

Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.

I tried this and as it made more than I needed for my cupcakes, I dipped some strawberries in it - yummy.
