Yesterday I made vanilla cupcakes with the recipe from your website, but they taste a lot like flour. I followed the recipe so I really don't know what went wrong...
Should I put less flour in the next time or would that mess up the recipe?

I make this recipe all the time and made it again for my family today. I have never had a problem with it tasting "floury".
If you put less flour in next time I am sure it would mess up the recipe. The quantities of each ingredient is well balanced.
I would suggest you try the recipe again - perhaps halving everything (using only 1 1/4 cups flour)and see how you go.
