Hi my name is Nicole. I really do love baking.I just started baking but I know how to make cupcakes.

But the problem is I follow the recipe but my cupcakes rise then they go flat right away. Can you please help me!

Hi Nicole
Thanks for your question.

Here are some reasons that cakes fall flat:

Temperature
Cakes fall when they are cooked at a temperature which is too low, or too high. The oven should be preheated all the way before inserting the cake pan.

Ingredients
One important thing you can do to prevent falling cakes is to use fresh ingredients. Also, using insufficient liquid, for example, or not enough oil. An excess of sugar or flour can also create problems with the batter which may lead to falling cake. So measure carefully! Do not "guestimate" if you want to make sure your cakes do not fall.

Are you using the correct flour? Cakes require either self-raising flour (cake flour) which has a raising ingredient already combined, or all-purpose (plain) flour which you will need to mix together with baking powder as a raising agent.

Cake is jostled as it cools.
Avoid slamming a door!

How the cake is mixed
Both over mixing and under mixing can cause cake failure!

Cooking time
Cupcakes that are not baked enough will not have a firm enough structure and they will fall flat.

You can, hopefully, pick which of these will be your answer.

Good luck with your next batch of cupcakes.

Regards
