There are many Chocolate Cupcake Recipes but very few could be as easy as this one. All you need is your ingredients, coffee mug and a microwave and you will be enjoying your microwave cake within five minutes.
And why is this the most dangerous microwave cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cupcakes at any time of the day or night!
This is definitely more of a pudding texture than a cupcake. I think it should be served with either cream, ice-cream or custard. Rather than making one really big cupcake, you can easily divide the mixture between two mugs and either share with someone ... or have one now and save the other for later.

Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). Even better is to make it in a really big mug so that there is room to put the ice-cream or cream on top. Less washing up as well which really makes this one of the best chocolate cupcake recipes ever!
