Birthday cupcake ideas

I made vanilla cupcakes for my mum's 50th birthday party. She wanted everything pink so I had pink cupcake liners and frosted the cupcakes in three different ways.

I had pink buttercream frosting with little pink and white butterfly sprinkles; pink frosting topped with coconut and white chocolate pieces; and pink frosting and coconut that I turned into butterfly cakes.

I put them all on a tiered stand and then spread the remaining cupcakes on the tablecloth around the stand. It looked really good and mum's friends were really impressed.

They now ask me for birthday cupcake ideas!
