Hi Samantha I use the foil cups quite often. They are really nice to bake with because the cupcakes come out of the cups really easily and don't stick like the paper ones occasionally might. They don't effect the cooking time very much. I would probably check on the cupcakes a minute or two earlier than the recipe suggests just to make sure. I still use cupcake pans when using the foil liners. Even though the foil cups are stronger than paper I think using the pans keeps their shape a bit better. Regards Louise
